Habitat Improvement

As stewards of conserved lands it is key to be involved with habitat improvements to aid wildlife of

the area.  Mount Grace has developed various programs, each customized specifically for the group,
to improve habitats and encourage wildlife usage.

2010-2011 School Year Projects
  • Wood duck box construction and placement
  • Orchard mason bee hotel construction and placement
  • Nesting box trail at Skyfields Arboretum for various types of wildlife

A few of the wood duck boxes from the winter had successful broods of ducklings at the
Arthur Iversen Conservation Area and will be continuously monitored by the Mount Grace
stewardship biologist.
